[Mailinglist] RSS Feed for ILug Cochin Mailing List

Hi all,

Some time ago I had a problem subscribing to this
mailing list. I was using a Gmail account - I did not
get any of the messages in this list - and none of my
messages were getting across to the list. Now I use a
yahoo account - and I have not noticed any problems
yet. However, many others also have complained about
this.

So I decide to create a small PHP script that will
scrape the messages from the web interface of
mailman(http://mail.ilug-cochin.org/pipermail/mailinglist_ilug-cochin.org/)
and provide the data as a RSS feed. You have to know
how to use an RSS feeds to use the feed.

If you are looking for a feed reader for linux I
recommand Akregator(KDE) and Liferea(Gnome)

The RSS feed for ilugcochin is available at my site...

There will be a time lag between a message appearing
on the list and the message appearing on the feed.
This is because the scrapper runs only one time every
day(cron).

The code behind the script is open - but I have not
released it in my site. If any of you need to have a
look at it, just shoot me a mail. I will send the
code.

Suggestions/feedback very welcome.

I realize that the people who really need to see this
message will not see it. Oh, the irony.
