Hello,
To day when I happened to see a question in quiz question at
http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/ew/2007/12/03/stories/2007120350080300.htm
What is Google's open operating system for mobile phones called?
Ans is Android
When I searched for 'android' I found that Google had quietly acquired
startup Android Inc in 2003 or 2005 ( not sure about date).

Now they have incorporated http://code.google.com/android/ to a new
consortium called The open handet alliance (
http://www.openhandsetalliance.com ), a group of more than 30 technology and
mobile companies, and is developing Android: They claims that it is the
first complete, open, and free mobile platform. I have not checked the
licence they are using for it.
With Regards,

Success is mostly in the attitude. "I always felt that my greatest asset was
not my physical ability, it was my mental ability."
