i first installed debian on 16 GB partition of my 80 GB hard disk.
i was very much interested to install and work on debian since it contains
about 18,000 packages. i am familiar with windows.i dont know anything about
linux and linux commands
i worked on mac os and stopped it since i failed to get proper support and
its drivers for my PC

i do programming using c++,java,VB..

i can do programming also on linux. It can be solved easily with debian

Next is with my internet connection.

I connect using GPRS Nokia 3230 USB cable.i get good support from internet
and installed wvdial from debian and connect using ppp protocol as "pppd
call gprs". i got a gprs configuration file from internet and copied to
'/etc/ppp/peers'. I sucessfully got GPRS connection on debian.

Next is Philips SAA7130 PCI TV Card

Now i need windows OS only for using capture card.
My card is Philips SAA4130 PCI TV Card. Debian is already installed with
saa7134 drivers but i failed to view TV programs on Debian

SAA7134 card driver is installed on debian.i used this driver to drive my
philips SAA7130 TV Card.the thing i did is

as root i load the modules using the line below, since i dont know antthing
about linux and debian
modprobe saa7134 card=27 tuner=56
and also wrote
options saa7134 card=27 tuner=56 in '\etc\modprobe.d\saa7134

'saa7134' file was created on the folder

Now the partition on debian was resized to half of my entire hard dik

i just intalled windows XP on the remaining half and not even loaded
necessary drivers for windows!!.i didn't open windows after installing the
OS
